Police have found the body of a Labasa man who was reported missing after failing to return from a fishing trip Tuesday night.
Labasa police operation’s team recovered the victim’s body along the Benau river bank.
The 49-year-old man from Siberia, Labasa went fishing onboard his 12ft single tin boat around 7pm Tuesday. He did not return home Wednesday morning. Police subsequently deployed search parties along Labasa River
“A post mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.”
