As part of its ongoing support for rugby in Ba Province, the Vinod Patel Group has donated 300 rugby balls to be distributed amongst the clubs and teams.
Mark Kumar, Vinod Patel’s Marketing Manager, noted that their sponsorship with the Ba Rugby Union includes this vital assistance at grassroots level.
“Vinod Patel’s partnership with Ba Rugby also takes into consideration the needs of the clubs and communities,” he said. “We have provided 300 training balls to be distributed to Ba Rugby’s registered clubs and teams.”
“We hope that in this small way we can help rugby development across the whole province, especially in the isolated villages and settlements.”
BRU Executives, along with Deepak Prasad from the Vinod Patel store in Ba, began presenting the balls to clubs after their games last Saturday.
BRU Secretary Gaby Kautoga explained how the balls will get distributed.
“We have started by giving the 39 registered clubs three balls each,” Kautoga said. “We will distribute more when we reach the knock-out stages of the Vinod Patel Cup and Inox Trophy, but we need also to cater for the 32 tikina teams in July as well as the Ba representative teams and the schools.”
“This donation benefits rugby teams at all levels in Ba showing the thoughtfulness of Vinod Patel as not only a sponsor of Ba Rugby but an integral development partner too.”
