Tabakaucoro counts Fiji U20 inclusion a privilege; Seruvakula hones in on discipline and hard work

Former Queen Victoria School head boy Anare Tabakaucoro and considers it a privilege to have been included in the 30 member squad preparing for the Oceania Rugby Challenge later next month.

Tabakaucoro said that while he was lucky to have been selected, he is aware that more is expected of them as a team.

“Our coach has told us that no one’s place is guaranteed. We have to earn our spot in this team and to stay in the team because he wants the best to represent Fiji at the Oceania Challenge.”

“But I am confident that because nothing is impossible the boys know what is expected of them and we can do it.”

National U20 head coach Senirusi Seruvakula said that the boys were aware of what was expected of them and it wasn’t just confined to their performance on the field.

“I want to see commitment and dedication on all areas of their life while they are here. I keep stressing to them the importance of discipline, hard work and humility.”

“How they are off the field is just as important as playing on the field. These are young men who are the best of the best in their age category right now, and as a coaching panel we want them to work hard for their spot.”

“It’s important that they represent Fiji well on the field and off the field too.”

The team that includes 5 overseas based players continue their training in Suva.
