Two men who threatened staff and customers of a supermarket in Laucala Beach while wielding cane knives are currently being looked for by the Fiji Police Force.
In a video circulating on social media, the men threatened the supermarket staff and one of them is seen taking the hand bag of a customer after hurling items at other people in the shop.
In a statement, Fiji Police Force said the taxi used by the masked men was located soon after at Tacirua.
“The search is on for two unknown persons that entered a supermarket in Laucala Beach and threatened the staff with cane knives and stole cash and other items before fleeing in a taxi that was found a few minutes later in Tacirua Heights.”
“The incident occurred after 10 and the taxi was found shortly after 11am. Investigations continue.”
