A man appeared at the Suva Magistrates court today charged with the alleged murder of a 1 year old child and causing harm to the deceased’s 3 year old brother who is currently admitted at the CWM Hospital.
Sairusi Ceinaturaga of Vunidakua Settlement in Cunningham is charged with one count of murder, one count of assault causing actual bodily harm, and one count of causing grievous harm.
On Thursday night, doctors informed Police of a case where a child was pronounced dead on arrival at Colonial War Memorial Hospital.
Ceinaturaga is also accused of allegedly assaulting the victim’s 3-year-old brother who was found in the house with injuries.
He will appear at the Suva High Court on November 4th.
