The National Federation Party (NFP) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Sigatoka tomorrow to elect office bearers, followed by a convention with Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka as the chief guest.
NFP President Parmod Chand said the occasion is historic because it will be the first time that the nation’s PM will be the chief guest at the party’s convention.
The event, which is expected to attract around 700 to 800 attendees from across Fiji, marks a significant occasion for the party because it will be the first time that the nation’s PM will be the chief guest at the party’s convention
At the AGM, party members will elect key officeholders.
Following the AGM, the NFP convention will take place. Several NFP ministers and assistant ministers, part of the coalition government, including the party’s parliamentary leader and Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad.
During the event, members will have the opportunity to raise questions and discuss concerns with party leaders.
The convention will start at 11 am at Nadroga Sangam School in Malaqereqere, Sigatoka.
