After a lapse of five years, the Vodafone Kaji rugby tournament for primary schools around Fiji will take place at the end of this month in Suva.
Termed as the largest gathering of primary school students at a national sports event, Vodafone Chief Marketing Officer Rajnesh Prasad said they were delighted to be supporting the growth and nurturing of the game at the primary school level.
“The Vodafone Kaji Rugby holds a special place in our hearts as it is about our kids and the future of rugby in Fiji. The development of grassroot rugby is crucial, especially as this level as it helps develop the game.”

President of the Fiji Primary Schools Rugby Sakiusa Turagabeci said they were calling on the support of rugby enthusiasts, parents and schools to further enhance the sport.
“This is where greatness in the sport of rugby begins. All those big names in the game of rugby began at this level and sometimes we forget this small phases and concentrate only on when they make a name for themselves. It all began here in primary school and I thank Vodafone Fiji for standing by us throughout the years.”
Students from Veiuto Primary School were on hand to promote and showcase the jerseys of the different unions that will be participating.
