The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua is determined to make amends for the loss to Moana Pasifika last weekend by coming back strong against the Crusaders in Lautoka on Saturday.
Captain Meli Derenalagi said they gave the game away to Moana in Melbourne.
“We are very disappointed as players. We didn’t start well but came back with the pace in the second half, which was what we should have done from the beginning and Moana beat us because of our own mistakes.”
“This week we are going to need to work on all areas we have lacked in because this is against the Crusaders.”
Coach Mick Byrne said it was frustrating because of the silly mistakes.
“We made mistakes, there’s no question about that. Turning the ball over, our discipline, we gave away several penalties which kept us on the back foot and we have to sort that out.”
Byrne says the team know what is expected of them ahead of the Crusaders game.
“The boys know that they need to start well and keep the momentum and go on the ball early.”
The team arrived back in Fiji on Sunday and headed into training today.
