FIJI Water Flying Fijians robust winger Vinaya Habosi will return in the Fiji colours for the first time since November last year after being named to start against France this weekend.
Habosi missed Fiji’s last three Test matches due to an injury he suffered during his club game with Racing 92. He last featured for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians against Ireland during the 2022 November tour.
“Habosi has been knocking at the door and finally he has got a chance to showcase his talent. It’s great news that he was cleared of an injury and we are looking forward to seeing him and what he has to offer against France,” coach Simon Raiwalui said.
He said the French game is an opportunity for the team to test themselves in various areas, particularly against the RWC2023 hosts who have been playing really good rugby and “are always a tough opponent to beat.”
FIJI Water Flying Fijians face France at 7am (FJT)on Sunday.
