The final batch of ballot papers was delivered to the Fijian Elections Office last night, about 9,000 less than projected.
Initially, FEO’s projections, based on numbers as of 31 October, were to print 804,500 ballot papers, but after having confirmed both numbers for prepoll and postal, likewise election day, the numbers have since been reduced.
Around 7 pm yesterday, the FEO collected the final batch of the 795,150 ballot papers that will be used during Fiji’s 2022 General Election.
This comprises 20,000 that were printed for postal, 106,300 for prepoll, and 668,850 for use on election day. The 668,850 ballot papers include those that will be used by people who are registered overseas but will be in Fiji on election day to vote at the FEO’s St Stephen Building along Victoria Parade in Suva.
The ballot papers were transferred to the FEO warehouse at Bulei St, Laucala.
