50th Super Appearance Comes With Responsibility: Frank Lomani

Frank Lomani knows that being one of the senior players in the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua comes with a lot of responsibility and is not an easy task.

The game against Western Force last Saturday in Lautoka was Lomani’s 50th appearance in Super Rugby and was celebrated by his family and the team.

Yet, the Savusavu man says while this is a celebration, it places added responsibility on him to lead by example in all aspects at the Super Rugby club.

“There are plenty of young players in the main squad and even in the development squad and with age, and experience you have to set an example because these young ones are looking up to you.

“To be able to reach this milestone means so much to me. I can only look back and give thanks to my family for their never-ending support through the years, to the management, staff and the team at Fijian Drua for everything they do for me and us as a team, and especially to the fans.”

“We are at our best because of all the support we get.”

The team has resumed training and will leave this week to take on Melbourne Rebels at AMMI Park in Melbourne on Friday at 8.35pm.
