39-year-old arrested over suspected meth find

A joint raid conducted by the Western Division taskforce and the Fiji Detector Dog Unit today resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old man following the discovery of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine in his home in Namoli, Nadi.

Chief Operations Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abdul Khan said the team conducted the raid after gathering information regarding the suspect’s alleged involvement in the illicit drug trade.

“We continue to make arrests and seizures of both white and green drugs throughout the country. With the support of the general public, raids have been successful,” Mr Khan said. “We will continue to ask for public support and all information provided will be pursued.”

The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
