Schools Rugby Southern Zone Adopts Fijian Drua Ticketing System

The Southern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union has partnered with the Fijian Drua and Vodafone Fiji in adopting a digitized ticketing procedure for the finals of the Deans rugby competition.

SZSSRU rep Rusiate Wadali said the thought to adopt the ticketing system came about after much discussions with teachers and management.

“We want to begin this process now. This is the way forward and we want it to begin with our secondary school rugby season.”

Fijian Drua Ticketing Manager Biu Tadranu said this was a good move as e-ticketing such as the one done by the Super Rugby club is the way to go today.

“This is is happening everywhere in the world and it makes work easier and there is no direct cash handled. Fiji needs to adopt this system.”

Vodafone’s Sponsorship Specialist Mataika Koyamainavure said the mobile network company was delighted to be part of the venture.

“We are happy with this collaboration between Vodafone, FSSRU and Fijian Drua. Our Mpaisa platform will be used for this and we will support things such as this that will help the people of Fiji.”

Present at the event which was held at Nabua Secondary School were various school rugby captains, teachers and officials of the FSSRU.
