Fiji's Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is being criticised for what two women Non-Governmental Organisations’ call “misogynistic” comments that only serve to fuel further discrimination against women.

Fiji’s Prime Minister and incoming Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat Chairman Voreqe Bainimarama has asked Micronesian leaders to reconsider their decision to leave the Pacific Islands Forum.
The call comes days after
Fiji’s Police arrested six people this week in two separate incidents, one at Nadi International Airport and the other at Cunningham in Suva, over possession of methamphetamine.
