A 19-year-old residing at Mead Road, Nabua has been charged with one count of kidnapping and one count of grievous harm in relation to the alleged abduction case in Raiwai over the weekend.
He will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
The teenager is believed to have been one of four men police had arrested for the attack that happened on Sunday morning.
The situation escalated last evening with youths believed to be from Raiwai storming up to a house in Flagstaff believed to be occupied by the attackers in retaliation for the attack. The occupants of the house are also the subject of a police investigation for similar attacks against Raiwai youths as well as their source of income, and the ownership of the property.
