100-Plus Teams To Feature at Punjas Digicel Secondary Schools Netball Finals

The Punjas Digicel Secondary Schools Netball finals are scheduled to take place over a span of three days starting from Monday, August 21.

More than 100 teams from 18 zones across the country will come together to compete for various category titles during the Punjas Digicel Secondary Schools Netball finals. These titles are currently held by Adi Cakobau School and Suva Grammar, who jointly hold the U14, U17, and U19 titles. The reigning U15 champions are Roturua High and Jasper 1.

Fiji Secondary Schools Netball President Karalaini Seruiratu is thankful to the two sponsors Punjas and Digicel for their ongoing support towards netball in Fiji, and for helping develop grassroots netball.  

Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster says, “The Fiji Secondary  Schools Netball Finals has always been an exciting competition and this year will be no less the same. It is especially encouraging when we see players from across Fiji, and possibly unearth an exciting player to watch. It is an opportunity to scout for  players for the National Academy and the 21&Under squad.”  

Nabala Secondary School are the open grade defending champion, while SGS is the reigning Boys champion. The championship will take place at the National Netball Centre in Suva.
